Maintenance Versions & Major VersionsEach release of our software has a unique version number, i.e. Version 1.2, where the number before the decimal point is the major version number and the number after it the maintenance version number. So Version 1.2 would be major version 1 and maintenance version 2. Maintenance version upgrades are when the major version number remains the same but the maintenance version number increases, for example moving from version 1.1 to 1.5 is a maintenance version upgrade. New maintenance versions typically contain a number of product enhancements and are free of charge to users who have purchased the same major version. Major version upgrades are when the first number in the version number changes, for example moving from version 1.1 to 2.1 is a major version upgrade. New major versions typically contain a number of new features and various product enhancements meaning that a charge is usually associated with a major upgrade.
Free Maintenance Version UpgradesWhen you buy a license for our software you are entitled to free upgrades to all newer maintenance versions.
